"Service above self"
By combining their skills and resources, members of Rotary are able to make a real contribution to the lives of others. This might be through fund-raising activities such as the Ideal Home Exhibition at the Clickimin, participating in events such as the Voar Redd Up, organising events to recognise and develop community service by young people or by visiting people who are on their own at Christmas. Some members take part in activities abroad, either individually or as part of larger groups or Rotarians.
Fund raising is a big part of Rotary's activities and the funds that the club raises are used to support local and national organisations and also to help with disaster relief and development activities around the world.
